PDAL installation, pipelines and a bare-earth model

In this video I’m going to show you how to install PDAL, create a simple pipeline and create a GeoTIF representing a digital terrain model using just ground points of a classified lidar point cloud file.

Los ahuejotes son como huauzontles gigantes

Introducción Se me ocurrió hacer una pequeña reseña sobre palabras como ahuautle, ahuehuete, ahuejote o huautli . Esta reseña se las prometí desde el 3 de febrero y aquí va, chiquita, pero va. Ojo, mi lengua materna es español y esta reseña etimológica es relativa al Nahuatl «clásico», es decir, un idioma que como tal ya no se habla y sólo podemos encontrar en fuentes históricas del siglo XVI. Por diferentes circunstancias sociales, lingüísticas y pragmáticas para referirse a acciones, animales, objetos, entre otras cosas que no tenían símil en español, un montón de esas palabras «clásicas» se convirtieron en extranjerismos del español llamados nahuatlismos, y si bien en el Nahuatl contemporáneo, vivito y coleando, algunas de estas palabras son sinónimas o se parecen, siguen existiendo o se usan en su versión españolizada (e.g. ahuejote). No debemos olvidar que algunos significados han cambiado y por tanto algunas raíces etimológicas para un hablante de Nahuatl podrían resultar ...
